Why repurposedMATERIALS?

What is “repurposing”?

“repurposing” is taking a byproduct or waste stream such as a retired street sweeper brush and giving it a 2nd life as a backscratcher for horses or cattle. It is taking a decommissioned fire hose and giving it an extended life as a boat dock fender. It is taking an obsolete ski lift cable and giving it a second life as hand railing in a luxury condo building. Our company started focusing solely on material “repurposing” like in the examples above. You’ll find all kinds of crazy, offbeat industrial castoffs at our six different locations…Williston, South Carolina | Waco, Texas | Lafayette, Colorado | Fort Mohave, Arizona | Maquoketa, Iowa | Newton Falls, Ohio… that could get a very different 2nd life.

We’re now extending our “repurposing” mission/concept to include things like Chemicals and Ingredients, Products and Inventories, Equipment and Machinery, and even Real Estate. Anything that is obsolete to its primary industry is of interest to us.

You are the Vital Piece

How could people as unrelated as an Ohio River tug boat operator, a turkey farmer in Arkansas, a water well driller in Montana, or a thoroughbred horse stable in Kentucky be a vital piece to keeping someone else’s byproducts and waste out of the landfill? Through “repurposing”.

Yes, any of these industries – or one the thousands of others in America – might be the key to keeping a particularly byproduct or waste stream out of the landfill if they can “repurpose” it to solve a real problem in their operation.

Since our inception just a few short years ago, being this industrial matchmaker is what repurposedMATERIALS is all about. As in our own definition of “repurposed” materials, we find that “second unrelated industry” that can make use of these byproducts and waste.

Many ask, “Does “repurposing” make more sense environmentally or economically?” We think it makes sense both ways. We divert hundreds of thousands of pounds, otherwise headed to the landfill, to new industries that can give the materials a second life. At the same time, purchasing these used materials save our customers 50-75% over buying new, purpose-built products.

Excellent service and communication! I purchased plastic pallets to repurpose into firewood stands for seasoning. Product was exactly as described and perfect for my needs! I recommend reupurposedMATERIALS and am looking forward to doing business with them again soon.

I drove from Mentor to Newton Falls, Oh and I was so pleased to discover a wonderful store. This store has repurposed materials. I was able to buy a what I had been looking for about 35% of the cost. This is only the half of it. Everyone in this store was so friendly and kind. They helped load my car just good kind people. It was definitely worth the drive. Thank you again and I loved the cat at the counter.

The prices are phenomenal, but the best part of this place are the employees. THIS IS A FEMALE FRIENDLY BUSINESS! As a woman, I was always treated with respect. I was looking for aluminum fencing for a small community project and money was tight. I called multiple times trying to navigate the project and get the details coordinated. Chase helped. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I drove an hour and a half. It was so worth it, made my month. When we came to pickup, we were helped immediately. Staff helped us check the fencing panels. Everything was great. I even got a sticker for my water bottle so I can talk about them some more! I could not have made this project happen for my neighbors without them. Thank you guys!

I drove 4.5 hrs to pick up the item that I need instead of paying a lot for shipping. The item is heavy. I ended up with great deal on site and made connections with the employees there. Great people, great place to look for materials for your project with deep discount. Recommended to visit the warehouse if they are within driving distance.

Found this store on Facebook Marketplace. I was looking for fence panels. I went to the Newton Falls store and everyone was very helpful and considerate. Chase helped me find the panels I needed and was very patient and informative. He explained the differences in the panels and helped me pick out the correct posts for the panels I selected. Another gentleman assisted in loading the panels onto my trailer, and was very helpful in making sure nothing was damaged. This store had some interesting products and I will be going back soon to look at other products I am intersted in. Employees are a great asset to a company, and there are exceptional people working at this location.
