Conveyor Belt

Used Conveyor belt rubber is much stronger than other rubber materials of similar thickness. Remember, this conveyor belt is designed to carry tons of sharp, pointed items like rock and ore over thousands of feet in mines that dig for things such as copper, gold, and coal. In addition to the actual aggregate it conveys, it is engineered for constant motion, extreme temperatures, the elements, etc. The used conveyor belt is rip, tear, & impact resistant. It is seriously tough stuff!

We also frequently have steel cable conveyor belting. This is heavier than the rubber belt mentioned above. Instead of having multiple layers of rubber, this scrap belting has steel cables running length-wise through the interior of the rubber belting. The cables are about the diameter of a pencil. This steel serves as an anchor for the belting and makes it extra durable when it is laid on the ground.

Our inventory changes frequently.  We have over 100 rolls of belt between our five different locations.  Widths vary from 2" to 72".  If you don't see a size listed that you are looking for, please give us a call at the number listed below.

Do you have standard sizes of used conveyor belting in stock?
*Our inventory is always changing. We do our best to keep the website up to date, but please call for our current conveyor belt inventory sizes for what lengths, widths, and thicknesses we have available.

How do you cut the conveyor belt?
*Used conveyor belting can be cut fairly easily with a sharp razor knife. The key to properly cutting the conveyor belt is technique.
1)Cut completely through all plies of rubber one one edge
2)Position blade at an angle so it can cut the entire thickness of the belting
3)With one hand across the width of the belt, pull back the piece you’ve cut with your free hand

**PLEASE NOTE: If you try to score the conveyor belting at 1/16″ at a time, you’re in for a very long process and one very tired arm!

Who is the original manufacturer of your used conveyor belt?
*We don’t often know the OEM, but our belting frequently comes from manufacturers such as Fenner Dunlop, Chevron, Goodyear, Bando, Price Rubber, Scandura, Phoenix, etc.

Where does this surplus conveyor belt come from?
*This belting comes from different mines, quarries, and aggregate pits from around the United States. They are frequently from places that mine things such as copper, coal, limestone, etc.

Is any of your scrap conveyor belt good enough for reuse on a conveyor belt system?
*Yes. We often have used belting that has enough rubber to be re-installed on a conveyor system. Please contact us for specific details about our inventory of used conveyor belts in good enough condition for re-use. Please contact Damon for any conveyor questions.

Do you get scrap conveyor belt only good for grinding & chipping?
*Yes, sometimes we get belting in very poor condition. If you’re interested in used conveyor belting to be ground or chipped, please contact us. Remember, the nice thing about scrap conveyor belting is there is no metal, like you would find in used car or truck tires.
