Suggestion: “You could make a pretty strong, long lasting snow fence out of those Punch Decking Panels. If the galvanized steel is strong enough to hold up heavy pallets on a warehouse racking system, I’m sure it could hold up to winter blizzards.” – Anthony in Wyoming

Customer Spotlight: “I had been wanting to erect an Aluminum Fence for a while and finally made it happen using ‘repurposed’ materials. After plenty of measuring, digging and a little trial and error, it all came together. ‘Sometimes ‘repurposing’ isn’t just about saving materials. It’s about making stories and finding creative ways to make an idea work. And finally… we did it!’” – Monserrat

Good News for Reuse: The newest version of the US Green Building Council‘s LEED v5 is giving even more credit for buildings that utilize “salvaged materials” in their construction. From USGBC Summary of Changes PDF: “Added list of diversion strategies and rules for calculating diversion rates: Salvaged materials are valued at a 200% diversion rate.” In practical terms, LEED is giving extra credit to salvage compared with ordinary recycling because you’re keeping the component/material in circulation rather than breaking it down into feedstock.
