re-brandingWASTE.  An airline recently changed their branding.  With the branding change, suddenly purple was out.  So, that rendered all 30,000 (yes, 30K) of their purple napkins obsolete.  (NOTE:  Actually, re-branding is a huge generating of waste in America!)

repurposedVISITOR.  Last week, Jack Debell stopped by to visit us.  Jack is the head of recycling for Univ of Colorado.  He also made us aware that they just launched Campus Council focused on recycling efforts at college campuses across the country.  this is an offshoot of the Nat'l Recycling Coalition.  Campus Council info>>

Great Story.  One of our longtime customers, Michael Laws, called to share a great Hurricane Harvey story.  He had purchased a pallet of our flood sacks some months back.  He admitted he didn't really know how he was going to use them, but he figured they might come in handy at some point.  Below is his Facebook post on August 20...he was predicting just 10" of rain in his post.  "I have heard from at least 3 people who kept water out of their house with the flood sacks we got from you." - Michael  RE: Thanks for the feedback on the sacks, Michael!

Sandless Sand Bags.  Instead of sand, these burlap sacks are filled with Super Absorbent Polymers (SAP) that expand when submerged in water.  This same type of SAP are what is used in baby diapers for example.  (Watch Video>>  Our sacks are a different brand, but this video will give you the concept of how they work.)  L: Denver  Click for Sack Sizes and Pricing>>
