BEFORE:  This was the 2-story steel mezzanine erected for the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston.  AFTER:  We just sold a truckload of W-beams last Friday from the mezzanine to a sawmill in New York who will be building lumber storage structures for their wood.  Bill, we appreciate your business!

repurposeSIGHTING "Riddle's Elephant Farm and Sanctuary in Arkansas uses rail for elephant enclosures. A sixteen or twenty foot piece (I can't remember) is buried for half its length in concrete, leaving eight foot tall posts. More rails make the horizontal pieces, welded to the posts. Might seem like overkill until you see a sexually agitated African bull elephant up close." - Cecile Buls

Q: Like Cecile, have you seen some "repurposes" you can share??  Email Ideas>>

interestedPARTY"As fire chief for a rural all-volunteer, I was intrigued by the wheel chocks you had offered for sale.  We need these for all our firetrucks because we work in hilly terrain; however, they seem to have a way of "disappearing"...bouncing off of trucks on our bad roads, or getting left behind at a scene after a long night of work." - Carol Dollard

Q: Do you have non-conforming product or inventory that you need to get rid of?  We have interest!!  Call Damon at 303.321.1471 or Email Damon>>

repurposedCUSTOMER: "Wanted to let you know I used the sacks to move seed wheat grain to my farm in Oklahoma.  I purchased seed wheat this fall and didn't have an easy way to transport. We augered the seed wheat into the sacks and loaded and unloaded with a front end loader. It was easy to unload into the grain drill when we planted the wheat seed." -  Eddie in Oklahoma

Concrete Zipper Barriers.  We have dealt in used concrete highway barriers for a while now.  Until a couple of weeks ago, we had never heard of zipper, or "mini", highway barriers.  These are really cool barriers.  At 3' long and just 1,500 lbs they much easier to handle.  L: Dallas  Click for Pricing>>

YouTube Video:  This fascinating video shows the zipper barriers in action on the highways.  This big machine just moves the barriers over one lane like a zipper.  Watch Video>>

readerIDEA:  "I so these concrete barriers at the airport rental car parking structure.  They reminded me of your mini barriers you have in Dallas.  It looks like your barriers have steel hooks that would be able to hook chains to, too." Fred Garcia

Forward to a Friend:  Please forward info about our 13x if you know somebody in the processing industries of natural gas, ammonia, or air purifiers. etc.

repurposedPRESENTATIONS.  LAST SUNDAY: The Material Handling Institute's Executive Summit this year is "focusing on the trends and topics facing supply chain and material handling companies today and over the next 3 - 5 years."  One of the trends MHI sees playing a big role is "repurposing".  Damon spoke in Miami yesterday presenting the "repurposing" story at the conference.

LAST TUESDAY:  "Damon, We would like to have you present the Keynote at the Iowa Recycling Association annual conference on Oct 3, 2017.  We are looking at having a re-use track and we feel that you would be a great kickoff for that." - John FosterCity of Dubuque, IA
