Surplus Rubber...Bowling Shoe Soles.  BEFORE:  "I have sold my bowling shoe manufacturing business and am now cleaning out a building so it can be sold. Lots of surplus rubber sheets we cut shoe soles out of. The sheets are mostly EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate)." -Jeff   AFTER:  Jeff accepted our offer, and we now have a bunch for sale!

repurposedIDEA:  "I'm looking for something that we can put on the ground under bee hives. The idea is to both suppress weeds but also inhibit the larvae of a pest called the small hive beetle from getting into the soil around the hive where it pupates. We have tried roll out roofing shingle but is not tough enough over time." -Ken Foster

repurposedTIP:  “I live in the Arkansas woods up a big steep hill. I'm interested in purchasing used conveyor belt on my drive to provide traction and prevent erosion. I got the idea from a Penn State road maintenance seminar I attended. I'd like info on pricing, etc.” – Donna  Click Here for Penn State article>>

Concrete Barge.  "This barge has a 133' x 54' x 12' (7,182 sq ft of deck) concrete hull. This barge previously had an elevated deck and exposed rebar exists to rebuild a deck to fit the customer’s requirements or remove them flush with the deck." -Butch  This type of barge gets used a lot in the oil & gas industry.  The barge is meant to be floated to a site, and then filled with water so it sinks and rests on the bottom.  They then typically put some kind of oil/gas support equipment on the barge deck.  L: Louisiana  Email for More Barge Details>>

Q:  What are some non-oil/gas "repurposes" for a big concrete barge like this along the Ohio River, the intercoastal waterway, etc?  Submit Ideas>>

Wheel Washer.  We just did a deal for this large wheel washer.  This piece of equipment is designed to wash the mud off of trucks exiting dirt roads prior to driving on paved roads.  Mines, quarries, and excavation contractors are common users of this type of equipment.  L: Denver  Email for More Details>>
repurposedEXPANSION.  "Have you ever thought of the Seattle area as a location for future operations?  I am currently employed at a local metal recycling facility and view everything differently than anyone here.  Every day I see material going to 'waste' as it is being recycled.  If Seattle is on your radar for the future, please keep my info and let me know if I can assist in any way." - Dave  RE:  Dave, Two responses: 1) Yes, we are looking to open a western location in 2017; 2) We agree...sending perfectly "repurposeable" materials to the recycler just ain't right!
Love Mail.  "Love what you guys are doing.  Totally makes sense.  I can't TELL you how many times I've watch perfectly good equipment either go to the dump or some scrapper that's only looking for metal... regardless of its potential as 'repurposed'." -Sabin Martin in Indiana

insiderVIEW.   BEFORE: We got offered the granite blocks below.  We did our due diligence, and here are a few of the responses on the granite blocks from people in the stone industry.  Industry insiders said landfill them.  Nevertheless, we said "yes" to accepting the blocks.  AFTER:  We're happy to report that we have found a home for the 40,000 lbs of granite.  This is 40,000 lbs the stone industry suggested should be landfilled, but we thought we could find a home for the blocks.  And, we did!!!

"It is not worth spending money hauling and handing hollowed granite used as sample for drilling.  You should have disposed of them at a landfill." - Mani

"I fear it will be hard to find them a home." - Ron

"Salisbury pink granite...junk." - Mark

Q: Do you have waste or byproducts that you'd like to keep out of landfill?  Like with the granite blocks, we might be able to help!!!  Email Us Details>>
