repurposedHISTORY:  "Damon, I was perusing this old edition of Popular Mechanics as there was an article about the mine that I work at.  Looking through the rest of the magazine was very interesting and came across many snippets regarding 'repurposing' throughout.  Here's a snapshot of a few.  This is from the July 1935 copy of Popular Mechanics." Ryan in Leadville, CO

Home Work.  Q"How does your company pick and choose what byproducts and materials to bring into your inventory?" Bill Amos  A: There are several factors, but for sure the #1 thing is we have reasonable confidence that we can find a 2nd home for the material.  One of the ways we build that confidence is gaining knowledge and insight about all the many industries in America.  For you regular readers, we talked about getting to know about trout farms a couple of weeks ago.  Yesterday, ownerDamon Carson (pictured below) was visiting a cranberry bog and farm inMassachusetts.  We get a little smarter with each conversation, each site visit, etc.
