Who Are Your Customers?  The last time we had a large quantity of Douglas Fir bleacher wood our customer was a contractor who builds out the retail stores for Nike shoes.

ourCUSTOMERS.  We always say our customers are very resourceful.  That includes figuring out how to take home a bunk of insulation when you don't have a pickup.   Yes, insulation comes in by the semi load and leaves by the Subaru load...LOL!

interestingTIDBIT.  "Hey Damon, One of the buyers of 'whiskers' (the shavings coming from when we grind a point on a nail) is music speaker manufacturers.  They add the 'whiskers' to the bottom of the speaker cabinets as ballast so they don't tip over.  A drum of nails weighs about 700 lbs by contrast a drum of nail 'whiskers' weighs about 2,000 lbs." - Chad

Gym Floor --> Office Partitions.  These are Round #2 process photos from a Florida design firm that is "repurposing" Gym Floor wood to build office cubicles.  The high-end design firm wouldn't settle for cracker box office dividers from Herman Miller.  But, then what would you expect from a design firm founded by Walt Disney Imagineering alumni whose biggest client guessed it...Disney. Tom, we appreciate your business and your creativity!

RE: "Damon:  I manage environmental clean-up sites for a power company.  I've got one 300 acre parcel that we bought back in 1973 (for a power plant expansion that never happened) from a major oil company.  They discharged at least 250,000 tons of waste sediment (a mix of carbon black with hydrocarbons, PAH's, and metals).  We're now sitting on this surplus property that has a significant clean-up liability. You asked for problem properties, this definitely fits.  Feel free to give me a call if you have any interest." - Bob
