Gym Floor.  We just got in the Univ of California-Berkeley home basketball floor.  With the huge bear painted on the floor, this is one of the coolest college gym floors out there.  The floor was cut out in 4' x 8' sections.  You can see some of the sections pictured, below, on the right.  L: Dallas, Denver  Click for Pricing>>

repurposedGIFT:  We sold one sheet to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.  One of their work groups is all alumni from Cal-Berkeley.  They bought the sheet for a colleague who is moving to Boston.  Jeff, thanks for order, and we bet your buddy cherishes this gift for a long time!

ourSTORY:  BEFORE:  A Dept of Transportation contractor contacted us about 3/4" galvanized highway median cable that they were tearing out on a section of highway that was getting worked on.  Could we keep it out of the landfill they asked?  AFTER:  The answer is, yes!  Some of the highway cable was purchased by an marina using it to anchor logs that they use as "breakwaters".  "Breakwaters" are designed to break the waves in marinas and harbors.  WIN / WIN:  The DOT contractor did right by the environment by choosing "repurposing" which is a more environmentally friendly than recycling (energy intensive...chip it, shred it, grind it, melt it), and the marina buyer saved big $$$ by buying used cable instead of new!

Our Customers.  We often get asked, "Who are your customers?"  An exhibit design company bought a bunch of bleacher wood to build a showcase exhibit for their client...the Harlem Globetrotters.  Tim, We appreciate your order!

repurposedEXERCISE: “A few years ago, my basketball coach turned used white boards into exercise equipment. He cut it into a 6'x3' sheet, bolted two 3' long 4" x 4" boards on the sides. Then we would slide back and forth in greased socks to improve lateral strength and movement.  It was an effective way to build strength in your hips. Good cross training for just about any sport that requires side to side movement.” – Ryan Curtis  RE: Ryan, we love it!  Thx for sharing.

Q: Like Ryan, have you seen examples of creative "repurposing".

internationalEXPANSION.  "I would like to say that this appears to be a very purposeful service that you provide.  It would be extremely useful to a  number of enterprises I work with.  If only it serviced Far North Queensland, Australia.  Let me know if your company or any others will be operating in this are in the near future."Gwen  RE:  Though, we haven't franchised our "repurposing" concept, yet, internationally, we have had several foreign groups express interest.  We're always interested in such discussions!  Contact Us>>

repurposedCONTACT "I love your newsletter.  In our business, we take retired airliners tires and find homes for them in agriculture for 'repurposing' on manure spreaders, grain carts, etc.  These airliner tires are highly engineered tires to withstand the abuses of going from zero to 150 mph in a split second.  Their many plies make them super tough in agriculture settings." - Adam Graves  RE: Adam, brilliant!!!  Thx for sharing!

Q:  Like Adam's company, does your company repair, upgrade, restore, overhaul, recondition, cleanup assets or materials that industry is discarding to increase their value?  We are building our Rolodex of companies that add value to castoffs of Corporate America.   If yes, we’d like to hear from you!  Call Damon @ 303.321.1471 or

WANTED Hard-to-Recover Metals.  Do you have waste material that has a % ofnon-ferrous metal content that is hard to recover?  If yes, we might be able to help!  Lots of these metals have very little, if any, scrap value because the metal is too costly to recover because of adjoining materials..eg: plastics, glass, coatings, adhesives, rubber, laminated films, etc.  Call Damon at 303.321.1471 or Email Us for Details>>

EXAMPLE:  So, want an example of a hard-to-recover metal?  Take for example denim Blue Jeans.  They have brass rivets in them, but because of the cotton fibers surrounding the brass rivets the value of the brass is greatly diminished because of the labor required to remove all the cotton.

repurposedSUCCESS...Tapioca Starch.  BEFORE: We took in 40,000 lbs of bio certified tapioca starch manufactured for the cosmetic industry.  AFTER: One of the distillers who bought the start..."The ONLY thing in the bottle is the spirit we fermented form the tapioca starch we got from you guys. If we could get more of the starch at the same price we’d do another few runs  for sure. When it came off the still it tastes like a smooth vanilla vodka." - Mark Allen
