Tower #1 - Portable Amusement Ride.  "Damon, I have a a 20-yr-old, self-erecting amusement ride.  The tower is 160' tall and the diameter of ride portion is almost 300'.  Would you be interested in purchasing? L: Texas." - Tom

Q: How could this amusement ride be "repurposed"?
Contact Us>>

HINT:  To think like a "repurposer", you have to think about the ride's A.C.E. (Attributes, Characteristics, Engineering).  Example - It is self-erecting.  It is a tower.  It spins.  It is portable.  The ride portion that actually spins is an intricate steel framework.  The trailer has outriggers.  So, a "repurpose" might utilize all these A.C.E. "as is" or you might take deconstruct the ride and only use a portion of the A.C.E.!?!
Tower #2 - Temporary Tower.   This tower was made to erect quickly beside big utility towers that have been damaged.  They transwer the power lines on to this tower until they can get the main structure repaired.  L: Atl   If interested, Email for More Details and Pictures>>

*A,C,E (Attributes, Characteristics, Engineering) - This tower is aluminum to keep it light so it can be flown by helicopter into remote locations.  The hinged base allows it to be quickly tilted up on site.

"A great opportunity for these towers are HAM radio geeks. They love towers that can be lowered so they can play with changing and tuning antenna then raising them back up." - Dennis Hudson

"We specialize in fueling generators for telecom companies. They use a system called a C.O.W. (Cell On Wheels) and depending on the simplicity of the unit I might have an application." - John
Helicopter Hulks.  "We have (2) Dauphin helicopter hulks that we are trying to dispose of.  We purchased the helicopters and removed all of the items useful to us, and now the bones remain. Location: Wisconsin" - Tom

Q: Any ideas for an old, gutted helicopter hulk?

Concrete Truck "repurpose"...#1.  EXAMPLE:  The drums off of concrete mixers get "repurposed" as stand alone mixers for feed, compost, dying wood chips etc.

*A,C,E (Attributes, Characteristics, Engineering) - The Mixing Drum of the concrete truck are a great example of the A.C.E. of this equipment, in this case a truck, for it's first life makes it especially suited for a second, unrelated use...or "repurpose"!
Concrete Truck "repurpose"...#2 "Why I 'repurpose' garbage and cement trucks…First, almost all Garbage and Cement trucks use some sort of 'live hydraulic power', another words the pumps are driven either directly off of the front of the engine or off of a repto drive. Secondly, the chassis’  have heavy axle configurations. Which can withstand the heavy duty nature of going 'off-road' as required by the nature of the use of the 'farm truck'.  A standard semi-truck going down the road has high horsepower, but does not have the suspension system to 'off-road', nor do the most of them have the capability to be converted to 'live' power."  - Chris Lindstrom of  (Story courtesy of Farm Show magazine)

*A,C,E (Attributes, Characteristics, Engineering) - The Hydraulics and Heavy Axles of the concrete truck are a great example of the A.C.E. of this equipment, in this case a truck, for it's first life makes it especially suited for a second, unrelated use...or "repurpose"!
