    repurposedHISTORY Damon's favorite story while touring Johnson Space Center this last weekend in Houston was the one about NASA engineer John W. Kiker.  With many ideas circulating on how to ferry the Space Shuttle back to Florida, he was the one that came up with the idea to "repurpose" a Boeing 747 as the shuttle carrier.

    Awe, the life of a "repurposer"..."Kiker’s idea – to carry the orbiter on the back of a modified Boeing 747 – was met with initial skepticism, to say the least, but the utility of his idea was finally proven..."

    backSTORY:  The chemistry behind this multi surface sealer was originally developed to seal the heat tiles on the underside of the Space Shuttle while it sat on the launch pad during rainstorms.
