repurposedREADER: "Damon, I thought you might like this one. We took some polyurethane coating off of oilfield pipe and 'repurposed' as a slip sheet under our sidewalk.  Up here in Canada, we have major problems with concrete cracking due to extreme freezing and thawing action.  We laid the polyurethane fabric on the ground before we poured the concrete. We didn't use any re-bar. The concrete now slips and slides on the polyurethane sheets as it expands and contracts.  So far, no cracking!- Lorne in Alberta  RE: Lorne that is brilliant!!  You're a great example of our customer base...Innovative, Resourceful, and Frugal!

repurposedINBOX: "I have 175,000 tons of lime on a site in Georgia.  It was a byproduct of manufacturing acetylene.  This lime is very close to normal commercial hydrated lime.  Uses for it include neutralizing acid wastes (maybe especially acid mine drainage), liming agricultural fields or aquaculture ponds, stabilizing soils on earthwork projects, etc.  I was given your email address by the Georgia Department of Environmental Protection." - B.
