Demolition Possibility.  "Six Flags had an amusement park in New Orleans several years ago. The property flooded and some of the rides were damaged during Hurricane Katrina. They have never reopened the park.  I would love to see the equipment be "repurposed" and the property be used for something beneficial to the community, rather than just a wasteland of forgotten remnants of the park." - anonymous

Q:  Do you have an upcoming demolition project where you'd like to save some $$$ or increase your landfill diversion %?

Gym Floor Wood.  L: Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas  Click Here for Gym Floor Pricing>>

repurposedHOW/TO "I've been installing recycled gym floors in Texas since 1985.  Pretty straight forward process really.  You remove the gym floor in 4x4 or 4x8 sections.  NOTE: the tongue and groove Maple boards are nailed to a plywood substrate.  Then you set up three stations to prep the wood for re-installation.  Station 1: Pry up the maple boards from the plywood substrate.  Station 2: Grind off the nails with a grinder on the bottom of the boards.  Station 3: Square up the ends of each piece with a chop saw.  We save all boards longer than 4".  You then have the raw boards to re-install.  You then install the planks like you would a new floor.  Once you have the floor installed using re-claimed T & G, you can leave it with the irregular basketball and volleyball lines for visual appeal, or when we do a whole sports court with re-claimed lumber, we sand it down (yes, the lines sand right off) and refinish it (see picture below)." - Dave Long

Surplus Inventory...Lithium Battery Cells.  "I'm reaching out to you because I have 119,000 Type: LiFePO4 Size: 32650 re-chargeable batteries that we bought for a project, they are unused, and now we have no use for them.  They were delivered to us late 2013, and they cost us a little under $1,000,000 at that time.  Would you possibly have an interest in them at a highly discounted rate?" -Richard  NOTE: We DO NOT own these batteries currently.  We are considering buying this offering, or we could broker a deal if you're interested.

Q #1:  We know nothing about batteries.  So, any ideas what industry(s) or applications would have a need for a very large quantity (say, 25,000+ batteries) like these?

* A.C.E.  This acronym stands for AttributesCharacteristicsEngineering.  We use this acronym to tell you a little about a used material and what qualities it has in hopes that someone can find a "repurpose" for it.  Asked another way...what did the material do in it's 1st life that might help identify a very different, 2nd life for it?
