1" x 54" Conveyor Belting.  We just did deal for 11,000' of 1" thick x 54" wide belting.  At 25 lbs/ft this is 275,000 lbs of belting.  We can get about 1,500' per truckload  L: Midwest  Email for Pricing>>

repurposedSUGGESTION:  "Jaxport (Jacksonville, FL) is a landlord port, so companies like Portus Seaonus, SSA Marine, Ports of America, and Ceres operate on our terminals.  All of these companies handle cargoes that could use your rubber belts to protect port infrastructure.  Great idea!" - Douglas

substitutionPOSSIBILITY:  "Hey Damon, just read this months issue of Geosynthetics magazine.  They had a great article about using synthetic turf for bank erosion control at a wakeboard and water ski club in Georgia.   Maybe "repurposing" used turf for soil erosion could be a new market for you.  I bet if this ski club would have known about your used turf, they'd saved tens of thousands of dollars if they'd have gone with used!" - Bill Adams in Maryland   Read GeoSynthetics article>>

Bill, thanks for sending this.  Yes, if we could get more EngineersArchitects, and the like specifying used materials as "accepted equals", they could both save their clients boat loads of money and help keep boat loads of waste out of the landfills!!!

Turf.  We have 4', 8', & 15' wide rolls available.  L: Philadelphia, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, Atlanta  Click Here for Turf Prices>>

BEFORE"We have two Wallco 5' roller coaters for painting plywood and accompanying Cincinnati Electro Jet Dryers that we don't use anymore.  You interested?" - Alan  AFTER:  Alan accepted our offer, and we now have the units for sale!

Former Prison Facility.  BEFORE"We have 60,000 square feet former prison facility that we'd like to find a buyer or tenant who will 'repurpose' it.  It has 8" thick concrete walls, floor, and ceiling.  A 4" water tap. It has a generator for backup power.  It is 1 hour from an international airport." - Nick  RE: Nick, indeed this real estate has some interesting Attributes, Characteristics, and Engineering (A,C,E) STATUS:  We made Nick an offer to purchase the facility, and we're under contract to purchase the facility in the next couple of weeks.  We will than have the facility for sale or lease.  L: Colorado  Email for more Details>>

Q #1: How could this prison facility be "repurposed"?  Submit Ideas>>

repurposedDEAL.  BEFORE"Our city is doing some renovation to the City Hall and we have removed from the roof a (as far as we know) working, but no longer used siren that was previously used for weather warnings.  Our city now cooperates with the county for emergency warnings and management, and this siren will never be used again. However, there may be a small town somewhere that uses a siren for a noon whistle or other warnings that could use this siren.  We'd rather see it re-used, or 'repurposed', rather than having to scrap metal it. Would you be interested in this? " - Steven  STATUS:  Steven accepted our offer, and we now have this siren for sale!

Q:  Like Steven, do you have surplus or idle equipment or inventory that you want out-of-the-warehouse and off-the-books?  If yes, Email Us Details>>

Wheel Washer.  We just did a deal for this large wheel washer.  This piece of equipment is designed to wash the mud off of trucks exiting dirt roads prior to driving on paved roads.  Mines, quarries, and excavation contractors are common users of this type of equipment.  L: Denver  Email for More Details>>

repurposedIDEA:  Speaking of Cowboy Engineering, we were approached by a big Project Cargo company (Google "Project Cargo" for pictures of some extraordinary machinery they haul across the the ocean) that brings in wind turbine blades from overseas.  They need to wash the salt from the ocean spray off of the pieces and parts prior to transport.  They are seeing if they can adapt this wheel washer to solve their wash off problem.  Todd, all we can say is brilliant adaptive thinking!

Steel Mezzanine.  Well, we've sold about 1/3 of the 40,000+ sq ft steel mezzanine.  We're now going to break up the mezzanine and sell the two individual components...I-Beams and Adjustable Posts.  L: Atlanta  Email for Dimensions & Pricing>>

repurposedPOSSIBILITY:  "Our plan is to build a portable/adjustable mezzanine to be able to walk from the mezzanine onto the deck of the boats being built. We are going to look at adapting your product." Martin  REWe love your choice of the word "adapting".  Being able to "adapt" materials and equipment to solve problems is one of the hallmarks of our customers!  Unfortunately, being able to "adapt" materials and equipment is not a common skill.  Those who can't "adapt" end up buying new and paying a whole lot more!!!

Gym Flooring.  We are selling the home basketball court of the Univ of Arizona Wildcats.  There are two cool things about this floor: 1) obviously, it is the floor of a well known team; 2) The floor has already been separated and de-nailed.  L: Dallas, Denver  Click Here for Pricing>>

repurposedCUSTOMER:  This is one of our buyers for the U of A floor.  They re-installed the floor in a retail store.  Bart, it looks great, and we appreciate your business!

Stainless Steel Tubing.  We got in 6,000' of 3/16" stainless tubing.  This is unused, surplus inventory.  L: Denver  Click Here for Pricing>>

BEFORE:  This tubing came from a laparoscopic surgery instrument manufacturer.  They changed the specs on their tubing, so this inventory became obsolete.  As you can imagine, this tubing is super high quality!

AFTER:  "I'm thinking of 'repurposing' your stainless tubing to replicate the garden feature in the attached picture." - Linda in
Michigan

Company Q & A:  Q"How do you know how many feet of belting there are on these big rolls?" Jacob Asbury   A: We use the formula: (Inside Diameter + Outside Diameter) x # of wraps (middle of roll to outside) x .131 = footage on the roll.

* A.C.E.  This acronym stands for AttributesCharacteristicsEngineering.  We use this acronym to tell you a little about a used material and what qualities it has in hopes that someone can find a "repurpose" for it.  Asked another way...what did the material do in it's 1st life that might help identify a very different, 2nd life for it?
