Steel from Demolition.  A project manager with Mortenson Construction, one of the largest contractors in America, referred us to their demolition subcontractor who was demoing part of a building where there were bar joists and decking being removed.  The PM thought it would be sad to see these perfectly re-usable structural members simply melted down by a metal recycler.  Sal, we appreciate your referral, and your recognition that re-use is always a better play for the environment than recycling.

Q #1:  Do you have materials you're sending to a recycler that would have a higher/better use if they were "repurposed"?  If yes, Email Details>>

Q #2:  Do you have a demolition project coming up where maximizing landfill diversion &/or minimizing cost is important?  We might could help!  Email Details>>

ourSTORY.   BEFORE:  Comcast Cable had two semi loads (80,000 lbs) of concrete pads they used to set there cable boxes on that they wanted to see go to a higher/better use than concrete recycling.  We did a deal for all of them!  AFTER:  We love our customers and the smart ways they solve problems with used materials.  Eg: "How much do the concrete pads weigh?  We sometimes need trailer weight ballast in windy areas so our trucks don't blow over." - Roy Hegland  Roy bought all our small pads the same day he emailed in the above question.

Q:  Like Comcast Cable, do you have stuff...materials, product, equipment, chemicals, real estate...that is obsolete to you, but you think a 2nd, unrelated industry might be able to "repurpose"?  If so, Email Us Details>>

* A.C.E.  This acronym stands for AttributesCharacteristicsEngineering.  We use this acronym to tell you a little about a used material and what qualities it has in hopes that someone can find a "repurpose" for it.  Asked another way...what did the material do in it's 1st life that might help identify a very different, 2nd life for it?
