Real Estate + Equipment.  PROBLEM:  There are many waste water treatment facilities that are landlocked and can't expand.  SOLUTION ??:  "For such facilities that are located on navigable waterways, these big barge tanks might be the answer to adding capacity for supplementary treatment where there is no additional land available to build new tanks." -Robert  Q: OK, all you waste water experts and engineer-types, could these tanks be a solution to landlocked treatment facilities on navigable waterways per Robert's suggestion?  Email Feedback>>

Barge Tanks.  These are five massive floating tanks (Concrete Barges are 65’ x 77’ x 12.5’; Steel Tanks are 61’ dia x 33’ tall; 840,000 gal capacity/barge).  These are designed to be floated into a body of water.  You then fill the barges with water and the barges sink and rest on the bottom for a semi-permanent tank installation.   L: Gulf Coast  Contact Us for Drawings and Pricing>>

wellSAID.  "There’s not a commodity market for the things we have to sell; there’s not just some broker you can call to sell it – you’ve got to get creative finding someone who can use it.” Don Matsch, Mgr of the CHaRM hard-to-recycle facility in Boulder, CO.  REDon, Having had to find 2nd homes for streetlight poles, pedestrian bridges, hockey dasher boards, etc, we know the feeling...LOL!

Q: How could this 5' x 5' x 185' box truss designed for dead loads of 90 lbs per linear foot?

oilfieldCASAULTY.  Sometimes equipment becomes obsolete because of an economic downturn.  Such is the case with these two portable, flameless heater units we have for sale.  They came out of the oil patch, but there are all kinds of industries that need portable heaters.  But there could be other options for these units.  Make/Model: Therm Dynamics 600DR  L: Denver  Contact Us for Details & Pricing>>

REMEMBER, you always want to evaluate an assets Attributes, Characteristics, andEngineering (A,C,E) to determine the highest and best use.  In the case of these heaters, the units are "flameless".  To get "flameless" they have special Caterpillar diesel engines that have no exposed combustion.  These type of special engines are sought after, for example, by the marine industry for large vessels that want to minimize fire risk.  Q: So, is it of greater value to keep it as a heater or to break it apart and sell the diesel engine?

footNOTES

repurposedGAME BEFORE: We just took in this 134 HP Duetz diesel engine.  It was off a Hamm articulated roller.  The engine failed because of "low oil pressure at idle due to internal oil pump failure."  So, the Hamm drive train warranty replaced the motor.  We made a deal for the motor with the warranty company.  repurposedOPPORTUNITY:  This is about a $12,000 engine new.  It has 2,167 hours on it.   So, can it be repaired/overhauled and sold at a profit?  We're open to any offer on this engine!  AFTER:  We had an offer from a company in Belgium, but we ended up selling it for $2,000 to a company in Texas.  We hope the buyer re-builds it and makes a handsome return!

* A.C.E.  This acronym stands for AttributesCharacteristicsEngineering.  We use this acronym to tell you a little about a used material and what qualities it has in hopes that someone can find a "repurpose" for it.  Asked another way...what did the material do in it's 1st life that might help identify a very different, 2nd life for it?
