Since it is Oscars week, how about a few fun movie-related "repurposes"...
Movies #1...55 gal Drums...Steel and Plastic.  L: Denver, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Dallas  Click for Pricing>>

repurposedFUN:  "We thought you guys would like this drum 'repurposed" as R2D2." Billy Owens  RE: Billy, you're right, we do like it!

Movies #2...Movie Recommendation.  Since it is Oscars week, how about a movie suggestion.  We recommend the movie Temple Grandin.  It is the amazing true story of a woman, Temple Grandin (played by Claire Danes), who overcame her autism to become a famed animal behaviorist.  She was a pioneer in the field of the humane treatment of livestock.  Watch Trailer>>

Why are Temple Grandin's efforts of particular interest to repurposedMATERIALS?  We sell a lot of Conveyor Belting to cattleman to use as "chute liners".  (see picture below)  They use the belting as a visual barrier so cattle don't balk as they walk through the chutes and hurt themselves.  Miss Grandin is the one who pioneered this concept.    repurposedMATERIALS is forever indebted to Miss Grandin!!!

Movies #3...customerAPPRECIATION:  Paramount Pictures bought a semi load of 275 gal totes from us a few years ago for use on the movie set of the Russell Crowe movie...Noah.  Did our totes store all the flood water?  We'll never know...lol!!  Film studios are very secretive when you work with them.

repurposingMAGIC:  The magic behind "repurposing" is that one waste stream is viewed completely differently by two unrelated industries.  Neither "repurpose" is better/worse, right/wrong.  They are both smart in their own way.  Click Here for Lengths and Pricing>>

repurpose #1:  "Take a look at RR rail furniture at www.railyardstudios.com." - Matt Joyce in Illinois

repurpose #2:  "Here is a picture of our fence posts we made out of RR rail." - Roger in
Maryland

Your Ideas "
Thinking of protecting boat hulls from the travel lift straps during launching. Pieces would be placed in between the hull and straps as the boat is being lifted. Once the boat is launched the sheets would float for easy recovery."- Chick Michaud

How We Work.  "We were given your name through Mantec.  We have the following and wanted to know if this is something you'd have interest in.  If yes, what is the procedure?" - Joan  RE:  After sending us pictures and details, Joanaccept our offer.  And, Mantec thanks for the referral!

Kaeser CSV-150 Vacuum Pump.  This is a big, rotary screw vacuum pump.  L: Philadelphia  Email for Details and Pricing>>

Oops...Highway Sign Box Truss.  We made a mistake!  The big box truss we have is actually aluminum NOT galvanized steel as we previously said it was.  There are 3 bolt together sections x 5 1/2' x 6 1/2' x 22' = 66' long.  L: Chicago  Email for details>>

Q:  *A,C,E - Obviously, aluminum makes this truss a lot lighter than a steel truss of the same size.  What would be a particular "repurpose" where a lighter weight box truss would be of particular value versus a heavier steel truss of the same size?  Submit Ideas>>

askDAMON "How did the whole deal with you buying a prison to try to 'repurpose' it come about?" - Allison Winters  RE:  Allison, Funny story actually.  A guy called wanting to know if we "repurposed" razor wire.  I asked why he had razor wire available.  He said he had an old prison that he was trying to clean up to make ready for sale.  One thing led to another, and we ended doing a deal with him.  So, minor phone calls here sometimes turn into major deals...lol.  - Damon

Q: Do you have a property that would be a good candidate for sale that could be "repurposed"?  We're buying.  Email Details>>

* A.C.E.  This acronym stands for AttributesCharacteristicsEngineering.  We use this acronym to tell you a little about a used material and what qualities it has in hopes that someone can find a "repurpose" for it.  Asked another way...what did the material do in it's 1st life that might help identify a very different, 2nd life for it?
