Gym Flooring.  We are selling the home basketball court of the Univ of Arizona Wildcats.  There are two cool things about this floor: 1) obviously, it is the floor of a well known team; 2) the floor has already been separated and de-nailed. Q: Do you know any Wildcats alumni?  If yes, please forward this opportunity.  L: Dallas  Click Here for Pricing>>

repurposedCUSTOMER:  This is one of our buyers for the U of A floor.  They re-installed the floor in a retail store.  Bart, it looks great, and we appreciate your business!

Our Customers.  The University of Hawaii purchased fire hose last week.  "The hose is being used as chaff guard over line that will be used for deploying oceanographic equipment." - Stephen

repurposedPROJECT:  "I volunteer with a missionary who installs suspension foot bridges in 3rd world countries to provide safe river crossings and for community building.  I thought this material might be suitable.   Below is a pic of the last build I went on in Honduras.  (160 feet long using about 2,000 feet of cable).  The bridge will save over 5 hours of walking when the river is too dangerous to cross." Steve in Florida

BEFORE:  "I have (4) 48" x 48" granite blocks which had been used for drill tool trials. They are in good shape and each have a single hole through the center." - Steve STATUS:  Steve accepted our offer, and we now have these 4 blocks for sale.

Your Ideas:  "Security barriers or flagpole bases." - Robert Swan

"Large equipment leveling blocks." - Barry Fulford

"The granite squares could make wonderful slow flowing water fountains for a park or community entrance way." - Melissa

"Turn on end so the hole is upright, polish the granite and turn into landscape planters for corporate parking lots, etc." - Scott Ahles

Rolls of Rubber.  1/8" x 56" x 200'   (NOTE: The blue fabric is protective layers between the black rubber.)  L: Denver  Roll Pricing>>

BEFORE: These rolls of rubber were involved in a truck accident on the way to a factory where they were going to be die cut into diaphragms for truck air brakes.  The customer rejected the whole load.  Really!?!  How bad can you hurt rolls of rubber?  AFTER: A Texas bison rancher purchased 4 rolls yesterday.  He is going to use the rubber as a visual barrier in his corrals.  NOTE: The two pictures on the right with the solid fencing.  Not being able to see through the fence helps with animals staying calm during roundups.  Charles, we appreciate your business!  BEFORE/AFTER: From truck accident waste to a 2nd life on a bison ranch.  That is what we do everyday here at repurposedMATERIALS.

Steel Drum --> Ugly Barrel Smoker (UBS):   "Damon - you always want me to send you pics of my projects so here you go.  There is a UBS cult of guys making these smokers out of 55 and 30 gallon barrels.  30 gallon barrels, in general, are pretty hard to come by so, a big 'thanks" to you for helping me get these barrels." Grover Brittain  RE: Grover, this is awesome!  Our new, unused barrels are perfect for these smokers it sounds like!

Smoker "How To":  Read more from Grover about his UBS smoker below.  Click To Read More>>

Concrete Truck --> Dust Control.  "Damon, Your newsletter asked about success stories for repurposed equipment.  We took a pair of retired redi-mix concrete trucks like you pictured, and repurposed them to handle the dust coming from our big industrial dust collectors.  The collectors (baghouses as we call them) sit on tall legs, so the auger that discharges the collected dust from the bottom hoppers is at a suitable height to align with the input funnel on the back end of the mixer truck.  The operator can use a hose to add a bit of water to the dust as the truck is loaded, not enough to make mud, but enough to agglomerate the dust into small round pellets the size of peas or marbles.  That way, when the truck discharges the load at our outdoor stockpile, the dust will not blow into the next county with a gust of wind."  - Bruce in Oregon  REBruce, So smart...so simple!

Q: Do you have other examples of specialty built equipment being "repurposed" to solve a completely different problem than what is was originally designed to do?  Send Us Feedback>>

We got in 6,000' of 3/16" stainless tubing.  This is unused, surplus inventory.  L: Denver  Click Here for Pricing>>

BEFORE:  This tubing came from a laparoscopic surgery instrument manufacturer.  They changed the specs on their tubing, so this inventory became obsolete.  As you can imagine, this tubing is super high quality!

AFTER:  "I'm thinking of 'repurposing' your stainless tubing to replicate the garden feature in the attached picture." - Linda in
Michigan

Our Customers:  Last week, one of the bison ranch managers for Ted Turner's outfit bought Street Sweeper Brushes for their bison herds.  Mr. Turner has long been an environmentalist.  Many of your kids may have grown up watching his Captain Planet on the Cartoon Network.  Anyway, John, We appreciate your business!
