re·pur·posed·MA·TE·RI·ALS (noun) - byproducts and waste that have value "as is" to a second, unrelated industry.  WATCH "repurposing" Video Introduction>>

Swimming Pool Covers.  A variety of sizes.  L: Denver  Click Here for Pool Cover sizing and pricing>>

*A,C,E (Attributes, Characteristics, Engineering)  See the 1" nylon webbing on the grid pattern.  These are woven into these pool covers to add incredible strength to the covers.  Yes, you can actually walk on them.  This 1" webbing provides a tremendous advantage when you use these as tarps, shade tarps, etc.  If you get a rip in it, it only tears to the nearest webbing.  That way you don't loose your whole tarp for one rip that eventually stretches across your whole tarp!

repurposedIDEA:  "Here is a picture of what we did with the Swimming Pool Cover we got from you.  It is great to 'repurpose' on the leaf removal trailer as a tarp.  It covers the whole trailer, and we do not have to worry about debris coming out of the sides.  Tie downs are great because you don't have to use screws or bungees." - Paul
Conveyor Belt Trimmings.  4"-18" wide.  L: Denver, Dallas  Email for Sizes and Prices>>

repurposedPROJECT:  "Your conveyor belt trimmings work great for hanging the targets at our shooting range.  Unlike a chain that breaks if hit by a bullet, the bullet will simply leave a hole in the belting.  So, the target hangs their for many repeated target sessions." William Barrows

Used Football Field.  We just took in a whole football field...75,000+ Sq Ft.  This is 600,000 lbs we helped divert from the landfill!!!  And, at 15' wide, these rolls are wider than most rolls we get.  So, that means less seams!  L: Philadelphia  Email for Sizes and Prices>>

repurposedIDEA "Could your used turf be laid down beside runways to help minimize the bird and small animals populations that create so much havoc with jetliners. I know that they use new turf for this application.  I see no reason why you couldn't install used turf.  It would save airports money and it would be a beneficial re-use for large quantities of turf." - Jack O'Riley  Watch Video on FOD prevention>>

repurposedINBOX:  BEFORE:  "We have a thick vinyl floor covering system that we no longer use.  It's in very good condition.  We purchased a different covering for our gym floor a few years ago, and this vinyl has been taking up some of our storage space ever since.  Would this be of interest? - Andy in Michigan  STATUS:  Andy accepted our offer, and we now have the used cover system for sale.

Q: Like Andy, do have something in the way and taking up space that you'd like to deal on?

operationDISCOVERY.  We are fielding more and more calls from companies with different kinds of foam waste.  So, we'd like to find out from you, our readers, what is going on with foam recycling.  Several Questions: 1) Do you know of any really smart, innovative applications for a certain type of recycled foam product?  2)  Are you a large generator of foam waste that you'd like to find a higher and better use for?  3)  Or, on the flip side, are you looking to find more sources for a certain type(s) of recycled foam?  Contact Us>>

foamSOURCE:  "We service a large train fleet and have an overabundance of used polyuerethane foam seat pads.  Some of the foam is reused and some is deemed not re-usable due to age, density and resilience.  We currently throw it away.  The cushions vary in size, but most are 14-18" wide, 4-6 inches deep." Lori

Q:
Is there any "repurposes" for these seat pads "as is"...no cutting, shredding, etc?  Email Ideas>>

Rolls of Rubber.  These rolls of rubber were involved in a truck accident on the way to a factory where they were going to be die cut into diaphragms for truck air brakes.  The customer rejected the whole load.  Really!?!  How bad can you hurt rolls of rubber?  Anyway, these brand new rolls of 1/8" x 56" x 100-200' are available for sale.  (NOTE: The blue fabric is protective layers between the black rubber.)  L: Denver  email for Pricing>>

footNOTES

equipmentSIMILARITY:  "Damon, You've shown the mixers off concrete trucks the last few editions.  Funny, those mixers look almost identical to big stainless meat tumblers used in the meat packing industry to marinate meat.  These might be a 'repurpose' opportunity for you." Jim  RE: Jim, Yes, it is funny how much machinery is similar between different industries.  They probably change the name...eg: Concrete Mixer vs Meat Tumbler...but otherwise, they do about the same thing.  That is where "repurposing" comes in.  Can you find the same machine that has the same *A.C.E. in another industry where you can buy it for less?

Q: Do you have surplus or idle equipment that you would like to deal on to get it out out-of-your-warehouse or off-the-books?  Contact Us>>
internationalEXPANSION.  "I would like to say that this appears to be a very purposeful service that you provide.  It would be extremely useful to a  number of enterprises I work with.  If only it serviced Far North Queensland, Australia.  Let me know if your company or any others will be operating in this are in the near future."Gwen  RE:  Though, we haven't franchised our "repurposing" concept, yet, internationally, we have had several foreign groups express interest.  We're always interested in such discussions!  Contact Us>>
