Sad Story.  Email #1:  "We have many used sails (from racing sailboats) that we would love to keep out of landfills.  The sails are structurally sound,  but have lost their designed cross-sectional shape and are no longer fast for racing, so the owners donate them to us.  We use what we can, what fits on our boats, but there are MANY sails we just cannot use.  The sails are triangular, with sides measuring 10-16 ft x 40-50 ft x 40-50 ft." - Rick in New York  Email #2 "Damon, There was a development since I first emailed you.  Another person in my department arranged for a dumpster and threw out all the old sails.  I’ve since notified all in my department that next year our preferred method of handling the sales is 'repurposing'.  Sorry about that." - Rick

* A.C.E.  This acronym stands for AttributesCharacteristicsEngineering.  We use this acronym to tell you a little about a used material and what qualities it has in hopes that someone can find a "repurpose" for it.  Asked another way...what did the material do in it's 1st life that might help identify a very different, 2nd life for it?
